In depth

Verdict

Clipsham Gold weakened quickly when a beaten favourite behind Eponina at Nottingham at the start of the month but something may have been amiss. NEW HEIGHTS, a pound lower than her last winning mark, has been steadily coming to hand and was only headed close home at Salisbury latest. She can go one better today even though Floral Splendour ran well for second in a higher grade at Beverley and Dungar Glory got her head in front again at Ripon back on Turf.
