    Verdict

Khasab, Sydney, Gustavo and Pistol Desbois are four for the short-list and the top-weight may be able to hold sway. The selection looked sure to be involved in the finish at Chepstow last time when falling at the second last. He's been given time to recover from that tumble and, racing from the same mark this afternoon, should go close if unaffected. Sydney is a horse with potential but is inexperienced, may already need further and lacks a run so he may be best watched today. Gustavo also lacks a run but made a winning return to action last season but he's taken a hike in the weights for his winning run and has yet to confirm his stamina for this trip so there are a couple of question marks there. Pistol Desbois has had three hurdle starts in France and was in the process of running a big race on his chase bow for new connections. He's completely unexposed and has to be of interest; the market should help. Deep Reflection is in form whilst Grasp, Heir To Be and Glinton will have their supporters but our vote goes to Khasab.
