In depth

Verdict

Aidan O'Brien has dominated this in recent years and Bolshoi Ballet looks the stable first choice after landing the Ballysax here with Lough Derg back in fourth. Taipan finished just in front in third and Fernando Vichi in sixth. The pace was slow that day and it wouldn't be a shock to see a form reversal but runner-up that day was Flying Visit so Jim Bolger will have an excellent line of form for MAC SWINEY. The Group 1 Futurity winner would prefer some cut in the ground but, with further rain forecast, he's taken to enhance his Epsom claims.
