ALPHABET showed very good speed in a strong maiden won by Velveteen at the Curragh, only fading close home. She'll have come on a bundle for the run so gets the nod. Anna May Wong had looked a potential future winner when a close third at Fairyhouse but couldn't quite go the pace over the minimum at Naas though she stayed on strongly. Miss Qatar is out again quickly after an encouraging run over an extra furlong here last week which will have done her the power of good while Sea My Angel caught the eye with a strong finish behind Grand Coalition at the Curragh. Dermot Weld won this last year and Zelaniya is one to note in the market, as is the speedily-bred Holy Cat.
