Ruby Walsh gets the ride on Dawerann, who arrives in fine form having landed a Punchestown handicap a couple of weeks ago from a 6lb lower mark. His stable companion Akorakor has been chasing and can race from a 16lb lower mark back over hurdles so he's definitely on the short list. Blast Of Koeman hasn't had much experience and has a stiff task on his handicap debut but Another Challenge ran very well over a trip too short at Fairyhouse and any further rain would enhance his prospects. Top Of the Ra is still a maiden over timber as is ARTFUL ARTIST (NAP) but it's about time the latter was winning. Tony Martin's charge had been running well on the Flat before starting odds-on back over hurdles here and again didn't appear to show his best. He's still low enough in the weights and can see off another lightweight, Mount Masada, though the latter would have a definite chance in testing condition.
