Verdict
Notebook has jumped superbly in his two runs over fences and was never in danger when taking a similar class event at Punchestown. Djingle completed a double with an impressive Grade 3 success at Roscommon but was held when falling at the last when sent to Carlisle. Royal Rendezvous, a winning point-to-pointer, bumper and hurdler, is certain to make further progress after an impressive chasing debut at Thurles though is up against two high-class rivals here including stable-companion Laurina. The winner of seven out of eight for her trainer, her only defeat came in the champion hurdle in March and she sauntered to a facile opening victory over fences at Gowran. FAKIR D'OUDAIRIES had a brilliant four-year-old hurdling campaign and beat the high-class Melon on her chasing debut at Navan. She jumped superbly when landing the Grade 1 Drinmore at Fairyhouse and though closest rival Samcro fell she may have won anyway.
