Verdict

Becauseicouldntsee finished runner-up here last year from a 6lb lower mark and looks to have been aimed at going one better. He jumps well and stays extreme distances so should give another good account. Groody Hill, Ad Idem and CROSS APPEAL fought out the finish of a similarly endowed handicap at Navan last month when the former just prevailed. He's relatively inexperienced and looks certain to get competitive here though the runner-up stopped when hitting the front as he's prone to do. Cross Appeal could prove best of the trio and come out on top here as he made a bad mistake at the last and will be better suited by this sharper track and less testing conditions. Rivage D'Or should do well over fences but is making his handicap debut on just his fourth start while On His Own is up 9lb for his victory at Ayr in April though he's the type to continue up the ranks. Smoking Aces isn't easy to catch right but was an impressive winner at Fairyhouse though the assessor has reacted with a massive 12lb rise.
