Verdict

Tony Martin won this last year and can repeat the process with FIVE O'CLOCK TEA, who owes his supporters a favour. Well fancied when only third in at Naas January, he was again supported at Down Royal last time but brought down when travelling comfortably. Final Gift has completed a hat-trick between the flags and has a hunter chase victory to his credit but the main threat may come from another former point-to-pointer in Easyondeye, who has been in touch with every chance when coming to grief in his two latest starts. On The Shannon has come in for plenty of support since a good run at Thurles in November but failed to produce the goods and Mr Eko looks to have a stronger chance despite being better handicapped over hurdles as his last run over fences produced a course and distance victory though that was three years ago.
