BACARDYS had a superb career in bumpers and over hurdles, with two Grade 1 victories to his credit over the smaller obstacles. He started a short-priced favourite on his chasing bow at Naas but a moderate round of jumping didn't help and he could only finish third behind Mossback and today's rival Snow Falcon, who found the 2m3f trip too short. Willie Mullins' charge should have learnt from those mistakes and can take this though Sutton Place has long been regarded as potentially top-drawer over fences. Gordon Elliott's charge beat some very smart performers over timber, including Supasundae in a Naas Grade 3, and pulled up lame when tackling the Champion Stayers' Hurdle at Punchestown in April.
