Verdict

Melon is as low as 12/1 for the Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle despite having never raced over timber. His form on the Flat in France wasn't anything out of the ordinary but he went for 100,000 euros as he's superbly bred. This is no simple introduction as BROKEN SOUL finally came good in a Down Royal bumper after several frustrating runs. His narrow defeat by Anibale Flyer at Navan just over a year ago would make him very difficult to beat and he could provide some value. The four-year-old Prince Charmin', a winner on the Flat at Tramore in August, made a reasonable start over timber in a decent juvenile hurdle here last month and looks certain to make progress and he has nothing to fear from Mystique Heights on that form.
