OSCAR TIME won the Paddy Power over fences on this day a year ago and the Irish National runner-up is no slouch over hurdles as he showed with a cracking run behind Rick at Thurles last month. Sam Waley-Cohen, who was on board last time, has been booked again by Martin Lynch and his 5lb claim may just swing things in his mount's favour. Bale O'Shea is amongst a host of dangers in a very competitive heat as he could hardly have won more easily in beating Baron De Feypo at Navan. The Shepherd is in excellent form and a 7lb rise for beating Baily View at Clonmel looks fair though Gordon Elliott has another chance to take this with the lightly-weighted Cayo Levantado, a strong staying type who made a fine comeback at Navan last month.
