In depth

Verdict

NOBLE EMPEROR made a huge impression on his bumper debut at Navan where he easily outpointed the well-supported Virtuoso Rouge with the remainder well beaten. Tony Martin's charge has all the credentials to make a very useful hurdler, beginning here. Stolberg has some decent form to his credit but had a barren spell until showing signs of a return over the minimum trip here last month. Lord Of Lords won a bumper at Navan on his debut two years ago by 23 lengths and showed plenty of promise on his hurdling debut later that year. He didn't reappear until last November where he started odds-on but was well beaten so clearly has his problems. He Rock's has been chasing and makes his debut over timber.
