Verdict

Ruby Walsh brought Tristram Shandy with a power-packed finish to score at Tipperary on Tuesday and the combination are reunited with a 4lb penalty. However, he appeared to need every yard of that three miles so this could prove on the short side. A DECENT EXCUSE is better over fences but he's reverted to hurdles in excellent form and has twice been leading at this trip before just failing to hang on over further. He's well handicapped over timber and can return to winning ways. Glencairn View makes his handicap debut and this is tougher than the maidens he was placed in earlier this year including behind 66/1 winner Luckey Seven at Sligo. Simiel is also having his first start in a handicap after his maiden success at Clonmel.
