In depth

Verdict

An excellent turnout with many arriving in top form. FAIRYHILL RUN won a course and distance beginners' chase in May from Fill The Tank and scored over hurdles at Tipperary last week and a mark of 109 underestimates his ability. He gets the nod though Mister Bells won a track and trip handicap before just finding 3m1f beyond him at Kilbeggan when runner-up to Fill The Tank. Henry De Bromhead has a strong hand with Centurion Steel looking very progressing when following a victory over hurdles with a debut success over fences at Tramore. His stable companion Demain Des L'Aube was an impressive winner at Kilbeggan though this is tougher. Recent winners Paris Texas, Brogine and Sizing Malbay are others to consider in a very competitive handicap.
