Verdict

DEVILS BRIDE completed a double in strong company last month and though unable to handle the step-up to Grade 2 company at Gowran he ran well for a long way and this looks more his level. He has to concede weight all round and Shadow Catcher, who has been unfortunate to come up against a couple of smart performers on his two latest starts without being beaten far, will ensure he doesn't have things his own way. Bally Longford reverted to hurdles last time after beating a big field at Galway and he's quite capable of a big run while Followmeuptocarlow generally operates at a high level and isn't out of this. Azorian is probably his stable's second string but a close third in a Grade 3 in March suggests he's not making up the numbers in a tricky little race.
