In depth

Verdict

Lord Mczie and his conditional delivered a 66-1 shock in a Navan sprint handicap last month and their chance depends on the gelding's ability to back up that surprise success over an additional furlong and a half. Ramon Di Loria, improving on a race-by-race basis, makes greater appeal with more progress expected after just four starts. He overcame his elders last time despite bolting but MUDAWY keeps threatening to get his head in front and is worth another chance. Larado's running style suggests the drop in trip will suit and Tommy Taylor and Punk Poet are not ruled out either.
