In depth

Verdict

FAIRYMOUNT BOY completed a double over hurdles last summer and bounced back to form over fences at Downpatrick so still looks well enough treated despite a subsequent 8lb rise. Bendanella has yet to win over the bigger obstacles but ran his best race to date when not beaten far into fifth at Clonmel last month and rates a threat as that was his first start since September. Bellgrove is 1-31 over fences and hasn't won for over three years though he's been placed on several occasions from similar marks. Das Mooser, a winning point-to-pointer and hunter-chaser, attempted to make all on his handicap debut at Tramore and didn't weaken until the last but that was over 2m5f and this looks too short.
