In depth

Verdict

Winning bumper Emcon was having only her fifth start over timber when landing a Cork maiden earlier this month so should get into the action while Good As Gold continues to perform with credit though a career strike-rate of 1-31 doesn't inspire confidence. Golden Ticket has been in decent form over fences and reverts to hurdling on a lower mark while Beckwith Star would have a chance on his victory at Galway last summer if the ground dries out. HE'S OUR MAN is another who was performing over the bigger obstacles when last seen in the autumn and he can race over timber from a 14lb lower mark so in the hope that he's ready after a break he's handed the vote. Island Villa hated the heavy going at Navan last month on his return to action and is much better on today's likely ground.
