In depth

Verdict

Lady Writer is on a hat-trick after victories over 3m at Punchestown and Leopardstown which have taken her to a career-high mark. She's certain to be competitive again but HALSAFARI was unlucky to bump into the well-handicapped Eight And Bob at Fairyhouse after winning a maiden there previously and looks the one to be on. Mandarin Monarch dead-heated for a Fairyhouse handicap then battled to victory in a novices' contest at Wexford, though has yet to tackle this sort of trip, while Lucky Icon is only slowly dropping in the weights and hasn't been in the best of form. Getaday should be winning soon though probably over further.
