AASHEQ has a superb pedigree being by Dubawi out of a mare who has produced Listed winners with her first two foals. Dermot Weld's charge has been a short-priced beaten favourite in all three starts to date, all last spring, but has been given a chance to get off the mark in what looks a moderate maiden. Surrounding gets the fillies' allowance and made a very encouraging debut over this trip at Dundalk, where she stayed on strongly behind the more experienced Saafarr. She looks the one to take advantage if the selection doesn't come up to scratch again. Allegio wasn't too far behind in that latter race and Seamie Heffernan again takes the ride while Evie Be Kool showed some potential on her opening run at Naas in May and has moved yards after failing to sparkle on a return visit the following month.
