In depth

Verdict

The Rite Article had dropped to a fair mark when scoring at Bellewstown and though 5lb higher still doesn't look badly treated with his rider's claim taken into account. Glendine River went up 9lb for a very easy victory at Tramore but still started favourite at Downpatrick where he finished lame. He can get into contention but a chance is taken with KENNEDYS MOR. Three times a winner over hurdles, he was having his first start since October and making his debut for Gavin Cromwell when down the field behind today's rival Presenting Julio at Roscommon last week but had attracted support and didn't get the run of the race. The winner is in cracking form and is an obvious threat though a 9lb rise won't help while Khalessi, who won a maiden here in May, didn't run well in a handicap on a return visit a couple of weeks ago.
