Randalls Ur Poet has come up against some smart young hurdlers including when a well beaten third in a Fairyhouse Grade 3 last time. He should reach the frame again though Vanderbilt, who was behind in that latter event, was making his debut over timber and should get much closer. STAR MAKER, a dual winner on the Flat in the UK, made a very promising debut for Gordon Elliott at Cork and should have come on enough to take this. Viking Hoard, twice a winner for Harry Dunlop on the Flat, looks a nice recruit to the Charles Byrne team and is one to keep an eye on.
