Verdict

Stonehatchetmad went to Thurles last week with what looked a decent chance but once again failed to handle the testing conditions. Dr Proctor, who finished a long way in front of him that day, finished third in the 1.45 here yesterday and providing he is none the worse should go well again in this easier contest. He was in front of Pampered Jack at Cork earlier but the latter can go well with his low weight. VICTRIX GALE has never looked a natural over fences since arriving from the UK where he had a novice hurdle success to his credit. This is his first attempt at a handicap but he's young enough to start again and take this.
