Bal De Rio, one of three entries from Denis Hogan's yard, is the highest officially-rated engaged here and the only one with a course victory in a similar race over slightly shorter. He's been running in better company as has stablemate AIDE DE CAMP. The latter didn't stay three miles at Punchestown a couple of weeks ago but his earlier placed effort on his handicap debut over this track and trip puts him in the driving seat. Female Approach completes the Hogan trio and she showed some potential for Noel Meade on good ground last summer. Makfils was placed in a couple of handicaps for Henry De Bromhead in the summer and Peter Fahey will be finding a race for him soon while Youralwaysdreamin won a bumper here and ran his best race over hurdles here in October.
