Verdict

Water's Edge was beaten a nose in a course and distance handicap last month and that sets the standard. Fast Boy, who is related to three winners, made a promising start here early last month in a race that is working out and with further progress likely looks certain to get into contention. However, HEAVENLY TALE cost 140,000gns and is by Shamardal out of a 1m2f winner. She wouldn't need to be a world-beater to make a successful debut and gets the vote. Hendrix is another well-connected newcomer who should be noted in the market
