        Verdict

        Oscar Snowman took advantage of a lenient mark to win on his handicap debut and is taken to lead home Ameeq and Bay Boy. Marcus Tregoning's four-year-old had shown decent enough form in maidens before coming late to snatch victory over the ten furlong trip here. There is plenty of stamina on the dams side as she is related to Lamtarra and Oaks Winner Snow Bride and so the extra distance should be ideal. Ameeq returns from a successful stint over hurdles and landed a couple of all-weathet events this time last year. The yard have been in good form just lately and a big run can be expected. Bay Boy attempted to make all the running in a Wolverhampton handicap on monday but was collared in the closing stages. If he gets an easy lead today he may be hard to peg back. Polish Power looks the best of the rest on recent form, but Oscar Snowman does appear to be a progressive type and looks worth following again.
