Anne Of Kiev is an interesting contender having made a pleasing debut and she gets the vote ahead of Debonnaire and Badoura. The selection is open to plenty of improvement (as arguably are most of the field) and there were plenty of promises to be gleaned from her debut run at Redcar. She was slowly away but then stayed on under a considerate ride for a never nearer fourth. Now stepped up a furlong in trip which will suit, John Gosden's charge is given the vote. Badoura takes a drop in class having contested a valuable sales race at Ascot and Gerard Butler's filly should not be underestimated. Welsh Opera is open to improvement and from a stable who's runners often improve markedly for the outing, Amanda Perrett's filly should appreciate the extra furlong. Debonnaire has shown ability in two starts to date, whilst Edie Superstar seems to be progressing with every start and the booking of Jamie Spencer takes the eye. At a price Hugh Morrison's pair of newcomers need a check in the betting, however Anne Of Kiev is fancied to improve past some of these and gets the nod.
