Verdict

Punditry is making hard work of losing his maiden tag and it could pay to look elsewhere. Arbaah is less exposed and finished a creditable fifth on her comeback. She makes more appeal than Velvetina, who hasn't raced since July, but Optical is worth a second glance in the betting on her racecourse debut. PLAYBILL was unfancied on her debut over 7f at Kempton in September and she finished a modest sixth. But her dam's side is packed with stamina and a much improved effort from Sir Michael Stoute's filly is expected today.
