Verdict

Action Impact is the selection with Mystic Roll and Split The Wind the alternatives. The Ryan Moore factor will ensure that the ex-German horse will start off at short odds but having finished second off a mark of 60 on English debut, he comes into this all-weather contest off a mark of just 50. He can have few excuses. Mystic Roll has dropped dramatically down the ratings. A moderate run at Southwell can be safely ignored. Split The Wind is still a maiden after 20 starts. Trip and track suit and she won't be a million miles away. Trevian won this race a year ago and cannot be discounted here given the form of the Tim Vaughan yard. Casablanca Minx steps back up in trip this evening. Mix N Match was nicely backed ahead of a similar event last month and is in again off the same mark. Binnion Bay has done most of his winning over a mile, but has had little joy on the turf, so a return to the polytrack may suit. Formidable Guest and Zorn look best of the rest. Action Impact has been handed a golden opportunity by the assessor and is likely to be priced accordingly.
