Segoria has a 6lb penalty to carry for his course and distance success in a banded race last week to carry here and that may be enough to prevent her from following up in slightly better company today so preference is for Mambazo, who gets the vote ahead of Gaudalpin. The last mentioned is closely matched with Segoria on running last week and cannot be discounted on the revised terms, so has to be respected. Cayman Breeze was not beaten that far here over seven furlongs last week but never looked likely to trouble the judge although the drop back to six furlongs may help him today. Top weight Bollin Billy has a career high mark to defy, while Taboor has slipped to a fair mark but needs to improve on recent evidence. Mambazo, by comparison, has shown improved form of late and is equally effective over today's trip as the minimum distance that he won over at Wolverhampton last time. The Stuart Williams-trained gelding has gone up 7lbs for that success but may still be ahead of the handicapper.
