        Verdict

        The short list here contains Homes By Woodford, A Nod And A Wink and Ten Black, with the vote going to Homes By Woodford. A Nod And A Wink was a costly failure over a mile last time but there will be plenty giving her another chance over today's shorter trip. Ten Black was just behind her there and is entitled to respect today. Homes By Woodford has now won three of his last seven races and, given that he looked to be improving when scoring at Wolverhampton last time, a good run under his penalty looks entirely possible. Finally, track seller winner Polly Jones could bag some money now that she steps up in distance and Time For Change could be interesting from Barry Hills' stable but, for the selection we will stick with Homes By Woodford.
