Verdict
War of The Roses has shown progressive form of late, winning his last two starts including over course and distance last time, and Roy Brotherton's gelding is taken to make it three on the bounce, getting the verdict over Calculating and Dark Parade. The last mentioned has claims on the form shown when successful at Kempton in November but disappointed at Wolverhampton last time and may be best watched, especially dropping back in trip. Ocean Avenue has been slightly below par of late but has slipped to an attractive mark so cannot be discounted, while Just Intersky has more to do than when successful here over 1m2f last time. Calculating has been knocking on the door of late and should again be thereabouts but War of The Roses has solid claims and he is preferred.
