Verdict

CAPTAIN LARS landed a hat-trick of plating races on the all-weather in March. Not disgraced in decent handicaps subsequently, Archie Watson’s charge looks the one to beat back at this level. Mamillius has a shout at the weights though both previous wins came over 7f while Dutiful Son is not particularly well treated but won a claimer here back in January. Locommotion ran well in a handicap over track and trip last week but has plenty to find on these terms and the remainder are even harder to recommend.
