In depth

Verdict

Plenty with solid claims in a tricky opener. Midnight Sequel bids for a hat-trick off a 4lb higher mark after a couple of victories at Kempton. She looks sure to be in the mix again and Time Square won't be far away though he's 5lb higher than when landing a double in February. Gabrial's Hope is another to consider if at his best, but it could be SHIRATAKI's turn to come good and Peter Hiatt's charge gets another chance off his current mark. Smirfy's Silver faded over a longer trip last time but scored over today's distance at Wolverhampton before that and can also be given a shout.
