This is a competitive handicap to close the card and from a shortlist of Carmenero, Effigy and Mumbleswerve we will side with Carmenero as the pick. The selection won this race last year and he arrives here right on top of his game. He was only narrowly denied when last seen and he can gain his compensation today. Effigy went close two runs ago but this drop in trip is not sure to play to his strengths. Mumbleswerve needs a strong pace to be seen at his best so if he gets the race run to suit then he could be capable of making the frame. Wrighty Almighty has got course and distance winning form but he has been a bit disappointing of late, and a safer bet looks to be Carmenero who should go close.
