In depth

Verdict

Militry Decoration ended a long losing run when scoring at Wolverhampton with Arlecchino's Arc well beaten and carries a 5lb penalty. The less exposed Forge Valley Lad opened his account with a victory at Windsor with the re-opposing pair Pearl Beach and Evaporust filling the places but it could be the turn of OLD FRIEND (NAP) today. The latter was beaten less than a length when sent off favourite at Windsor last week and there looks more to come from Ed Walker’s charge over today’s distance.
