Verdict
Global Strategy loves an artificial surface and Rae Guest's gelding gets the nod ahead of Constant Cheers and Top Tiger. The selection is yet to win in five starts on grass but has developed a love-affair with Southwell. This will be his first crack at the track, and whilst the surface is different, a big run should still be expected given his proven stamina. He needs to improve for this higher mark, however Wraith enters handicaps on a mark of 70 and whilst that looks a tad harsh, a 7lb weight-for-age allowance will ensure a decent outing. Top Tiger needs to bounce back from an average run at York, however he is a progressive horse who shouldn't be dismissed. Constant Cheers has only won once in 12 starts and whilst he is exposed, he continues to run consistent races, especially since the introduction of cheek-pieces. Wait For The Will is not getting any better at eleven but he certainly knows how to win, whilst Grande Caiman is better than his recent outings. An open race, in which Global Strategy can carry top-weight to victory.
