Verdict
A chance is taken with A Nod And A Wink, who edges preference from Shes Millie and La Marmotte. The last named doesn't face an easy task under top weight and needs to be at her best to hold the rest at bay. That said, the daughter of Mujadil is quite well treated just now and is no forlorn hope in a modest contest such as this. Shes Millie is a game type that is unexposed at this trip. Her dam was a winning miler and, with the booking of Seb Sanders catching the eye, there are plenty of reasons to give her the benefit of any doubt this afternoon. News Of The Day is also worth a mention, as she is better than she consented to display last time out. The Mark Johnston-trained filly holds Zaafira from an earlier encounter at Wolverhampton and it would come as no surprise to see her bounce back to form. However, A Nod And A Wink has shown flashes of ability and, as her previous visit to Lingfield almost saw her break her duck, we fancy Richard Hannon's charge represents a fair betting proposition to produce the sufficient improvement today.
