Verdict
The Hollow Ginge won a novices' hurdle at Newton Abbot in October though hasn't made the expected progress but three-times winner Never Equalled wasn't far behind when unseating his rider at the last at Worcester. REMILUC (NAP) had been threatening to win before landing a handicap at this level at Cheltenham. He then ran well for a long way in the Grade 3 Betfair Hurdle at Newbury and will appreciate this drop in class. Knocknanuss was soon beaten in that latter event and looks held but the progressive Landin did well to make all at Sandown where he survived a last-flight blunder. He's only 4lb higher so looks a threat while Chepstow winner Marley Firth makes his handicap debut on what could prove a lenient mark.
