Burauq has been placed on five consecutive occasions off the same mark but is upped 2lb after going close here last time. Cruise Tothelimit and Ghost Train are others that have been thereabouts recently while Keep It Dark was runner-up here last month though never looked like catching Swiss Cross. The admirable veteran DESERT STRIKE has managed just the one success so far this year but that was off a 9lb higher mark. Conor Dore’s charge gets a speculative vote to come good again in this having ran his best race for a while when placed at Wolverhampton recently.
