In depth

Verdict

Martial Art had an excellent chance of opening his account in similar company at Kempton last week when sent off odds-on favourite but made a mess of it. The jury is out on him now and GROOVE ON makes more appeal. Marco Botti's colt showed signs of inexperience when fourth on last month's debut but looks sure to improve and is preferred to Maid A Million, stepping up in trip after finishing runner-up on her last three starts. The latter's stablemate and newcomer Calmer Waters is also worth keeping an eye on in the betting.
