          Verdict

          Varsovian won three times and was only beaten a short-head in a fourth late last year but has been a beaten favourite from his new mark in his last two starts. Marjong has never won on an artificial surface but is consistent which is why he may be a few pounds high. He just has the beating of Shamahan and Thataboy on their latest run here while Lucky Di's two victories on the track have been over an extra furlong. JOHNNY SPLASH completed a double here and shot up the weights as a consequence. He's struggled to go the early pace in his last two starts but if Robert Winston can get him into a rhythm early then he can return to winning ways in a tricky contest.
