Verdict
Augustine, Desert Reign and Bavarica are the ones to catch the eye here and Augustine is taken to make up for a narrow defeat last time. Augustine had a couple of wins to his credit at the end of last year but has proved a frustrating type since, finishing second on four of his last five starts. he was caught close home by Polish Power last time and that one won at Kempton on Sunday so the form looks solid. An Epsom winner on turf, Desert Reign ran well on his first all-weather outing behind Zalkani. The winner has won again since and this lightly raced individual can run well at a nice price. Bottom weight Bavarica lost her maiden tag over the course and distance last time, and a good run from the fourth, Barton Sands in the preceding seller, would be a good pointer to her chances. Augustine is preferred to put a run of narrow defeats behind him.
