        In depth

        Verdict

        The form of unfancied HAJJAAN on his Newmarket debut last October suggests that he may well have what it takes to break his duck on his first start since. John Dunlop's colt acts on a sound surface and pedigree suggests that this step up in trip will suit. That Newmarket contest has worked out well and with natural improvement he could take this on the way to a nice autumn campaign. Pedantic is dropped back from 10f to todays 7f trip after disappointing in a Windsor maiden and he may be able to pick up on his pleasing debut from earlier in the campaign once more. Maid To Dream was given an educational introduction at Yarmouth and should be more prominent this time, while debutant Prince Blue is likely to want this and will be better over further. En Fuego showed promise last year but has a bit to prove today.
