In depth

Verdict

Official handicap marks suggest this is between Flavius Victor and THE MONGOOSE. The former has had just the one start since July when fifth at Kempton and has been off the track for two months since so the vote goes to David Evans' charge. He finished a close-up fifth in a handicap over C&D last month and a similar effort would be good enough to land this. Summer Sun looks best of the remainder but has plenty to find on today's terms with the principal contenders.
