Verdict

MERRY BANTER had little chance in a conditions race when third on her reappearance behind Sutter County, rated 103. But she ended last year with a double in Class 2 sprints and David Parkes' allowance further helps her cause. Monte Cinq was expected to do better dropped in class last time and Scuzeme makes more appeal having looked an improved sprinter when winning a maiden easily at Newcastle on his comeback in January. Juan Horsepower represents last year’s winning yard but is upped in class along with Pulsating, a selling plate winner at Wolverhampton.
