Verdict
SLIP gets the pick here over Mrs Slocombe and Timbaa. The gelding was a course and distance winner just two starts ago and although failing to follow up at Kempton last time a return to winning ways on his track of preference looks likely and he'll be a handy tool if kept in this sort of company. Rae Guest's Timbaa look to have hit some decent form recently and has been running well despite not yet finding a win. He looked well when back over his favoured trip last time and in a race of this quality he should make the frame. Mrs Slocombe has been in dismal form of late but this race represents a chance for the filly to get back on track. One would imagine her shrewd connections will see this as a decent opportunity for her. Little else is expected to get involved here and a check of the market is advised. Lytham won over this trip earlier this year but has shown very little since, leading us to side with Slip.
