      Verdict

      Canford Crossing could be thereabouts stepping up in trip after a debut second at Haydock. But HIBOU's earlier second at the same track is stronger form and he gets a tentative vote in the hope first-time blinkers get him back on track after a poor effort at Kempton. He is preferred to stablemate Technicolour while Without Doubt should have the measure of Celebration Day. The newcomer Maestro Mac would not need to be anything special to figure on his debut.
