Verdict

CROSS THE FLAGS was making her hurdling debut when returning to action at Ffos Las and jumped well enough. She stayed on well for fourth and can find the necessary improvement to get off the mark here. In contrast, bumper winner Bach To Front jumped poorly on her debut over timber at Plumpton, as did La Belle Au Bois at Stratford. Other bumper winners having their first starts over obstacles include Heather Royale, Dream Performance and Rydalis, while Florafern is also worth noting and Zennor is the highest rated of those switching from the Flat.
