tracked leader, under pressure over 2f out, stayed on same pace final furlong
Only five go to post but this should be competitive enough with there being little to choose between Atephobia, Lord Deevert and Maybe I Wont on official figures; Lord Deevert is taken to prevail. He failed to get home over seven furlongs at Wolverhampton last time when taking too strong a hold in a first time visor but, if the headgear has the same effect this afternoon, he could be allowed to bowl along and make the best of his way home. He's likely to face competition for the lead from Atephobia whose chance must be respected and there is a slight danger that they could set the race up for Maybe I Wont who is usually ridden from off the pace. He's a live danger if he can keep tabs on the leaders but the nod goes to Lord Deevert in the opener.
